At Dawn’s Eve
They say the hardest part about being a writer, is coming up with a good story, a good way to tell that story, and finding a publisher. I say the hardest part of being a writer is coming up with a good introduction to your scribbles, so I can hardly wait for the day that this crazy world thinks of me as somewhat renowned enough to hire people to do that for me. Because, apart from the obvious preferable comfort, it’ll also make any of my drafts look a hell of a lot shinier. But for now, I’ll just have to avoid the problem, whilst talking about it.
My name is El Pinguin Loco. Now, you’re probably wondering who in a right mind would name his child that, and well good sir, I’d have to answer you: nothing. Indeed. I don’t owe you anything, and thus am not obliged to answer any of your silly inquiries. But I’ll do it anyways, to show to you (and everybody else for that matter) just how good, honest and caring I am as a person, so that you may feel even more grateful for the scientific fact that thy walkst the same patch of soil as this one. Don’t worry, it comes at no extra charge whatsoever. This really is beginning to look like your lucky day. It’s not, though. Tomorrow is.
Ah yes indeed, tomorrow… Today, all of us are strangers, social outcast and hermits to whom no man dares to speak, but tomorrow, all of this is going to start changing. Fast. And why kind sir, you ask, might this be? Answer you shall I in the following manner, good fellow: why are you asking all these questions already, it’s only the first post.
I know it’s the second, but I’m keeping Vic’s post for nostalgic reasons.
Anywho, about tomorrow. The aforementioned Victor has just inquired of me (seriously, what’s the deal with all these questions lately? Gosh…) if there have been developments concerning our evil gathering with only the most evil individuals in the universe. Which is helt tomorrow at your place at 2. With cookies. And this is an (almost, I switched two words for grammatical reasons and such) literal quote. Also, held is spelled with a D, but I’m going to let that one slide. Right into his mouth-hole. Mainly because of his perfect timing of asking me that, while I was exactly at that specific point in my scribble. Call it Karma, if you will.
I know you won’t, though…
Also, on a totally unrelated subject (unrelated is used satirically), wikipedia denotes dramatic tension as “suspense”. Aah, shoot, enough if this dillydallying. The reason why tomorrow is so darn important, and why today will enter the halls of history as the glorious day on which EPL started his blog (seriously, it will, I have the uncanny ability to see the future in a bottle of clear, vodka-like liquid), is the simple fact that tomorrow, we’re kicking off the ABZG project! And, as there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the majority of readers will not have discovered this blog until ABZG is all big and famous (guaranteed, again, bottle of clear, vodka-like liquid), I need not explain the project further at this point. So I won’t!
This post only serves as an introduction to what is to beBlog. EPL, as seen on ABZG, yes, but also EPL as seen on stage and published elsewhere. Because I really am a writer. We tend not to use italics that much before we’ve discovered that we can, by the way. Just a quick thing I thought you might want to note and know about. But I should really wrap this up, seeing how my laptop has already begun warning me about the dangerously low power levels which at the moment reside in the emptiest corners of it’s battery. It’ll shut down soon now… I don’t have the juice left which would be required for a spell-check, so excuse me if I make a mistake. I’m typing in high octane speed, to beat the countdowntimerclock of my dieing energy supply. I’ll tell you more about me and about how tomorrow went, well, tomorrow.
Yeah, I’m going to be posting scribbles like this daily from now on. They won’t all be like this, and will be about basically anything I can come up with. So stick around! You may even find it mildly amusing. I for one hope you will.
